Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know Before You Visit
Do I need a reservation?
Our Afternoon Tea and special tea experiences are by reservation. Our cafe and weekday light bites are walk-in friendly as seating allows — though reserving ahead is always the surest way to get a table.
What days are you open?
We're open Wednesday through Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday. For current seating times, please see our reservation page or give us a call.
Where are you located, and where do I park?
You'll find us at 27 Central Ave in downtown Hammonton, NJ. Street and nearby public parking are available throughout the downtown.
Do you accommodate allergies and dietary needs?
Please let your server know of any allergies or dietary concerns. Gluten-free and vegan accommodations require at least three days' advance notice and may not be available for walk-in guests.
Is there a dress code?
Not at all — come as you are. We're a casual, come-with-a-book kind of place. That said, many guests love to dress up for their Afternoon Tea seating, so feel free to make it an occasion if the moment calls for it.
Can I host a private event, bridal shower, or book club?
Absolutely. We host bridal teas, showers, book clubs, and private gatherings in our intimate space. Visit our Bridal Tea page or reach out and we'll help you plan a celebration to remember.
Can I buy loose-leaf tea or gifts to take home?
Yes — our full loose-leaf tea library, curated gifts, sets, and gift cards are available to purchase in store. Our online shop is coming soon; until then, stop in and we'll help you find the perfect something for the tea or book lover in your life.
Is the teahouse family-friendly?
Yes — all are welcome at the table, from little ones to longtime readers. Come with a book, a friend, or just yourself.
Do you host special events throughout the year?
